WILL MY HEALTH INSURANCE COVER DIETITIAN SERVICES?
Medicare provides rebates to individuals that have chronic conditions who are managed through a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan or formerly known as Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan. 5 free sessions are provided to these individuals annually. All you need is a referral letter from a general practitioner (GP). Some medical providers may charge you the gap payment^, but Caroline Springs Dietetics does not charge the gap. So no extra charges cost to our clients.
For private health insurance, depending on the plan selected, part of the fee is covered by private health insurance.
^ Out-of-pocket costs between what the medical services provider charges you and what Medicare will give you back (the gap payment).
